Veterinary Assistants

Our AHHB veterinary assistants are an important part of our team. They are responsible for the care of all boarding (in our kennel facilities) and bathing pets. When your pet stays with us, or just comes in for bathing/grooming services, they make sure your pet is treated the way they would treat one of their own, giving them the quality attention, they deserve. They assist our certified groomers with grooming care. At pick-up and drop-off time you will meet one of our veterinary assistants who will be happy to answer any of your questions or show you around our facilities with a kennel tour. Our veterinary assistants also help our medical team with patient restraint, sanitation and disease control, and facility maintenance.

Our AHHB treatment assistants may be Certified Veterinary Assistants (CVA) or Registered Veterinary Technician Students. They assist our Veterinary Technicians with patient care tasks and help care for our medical boarding patients. In addition, they help restrain patients, collect laboratory samples, administer immunizations, and other, important medical tasks.
