The veterinary technician’s duties include everything from x-rays to cleaning cages. Our technicians perform the work of a dental hygienist, cleaning pet’s teeth; they develop x-rays, take care of all hospitalized pets and administer medications. They also prep animals for surgery, which includes placing IV catheters, running an ECG to check the heart of the patient and monitoring the anesthetic during a procedure. They are also responsible for post-op care of all patients.
